    A unique year

Although this year has been different from anything we experienced before due to Covid-19 pandemic and associated restrictions, entering this project was a positive experience.

Despite being unable to travel or do the things we used to, we had the chance to meet students from other countries involved in the project trough social media and internet. We participated in a lot of fun activities, like creating a presentation video to introduce ourselves, making a Christmas card, drawing a logo for the project, taking photos related to inclusion and participating in an international meeting.

In conclusion, we enjoyed participating in the Erasmus project. It was a good experience despite the current restrictions. We hope that by next year we have the chance to visit the other participating countries and meet other foreign students.

    A new reality

Looking back, I can hardly believe that more than 1 year has passed since the Covid-19 pandemic first started. It seems to me that everything has changed and evolved in an inexplicable way. First, came the fear of getting sick, of losing my loved ones, of never getting my life back to the way it was. The first lockdown was very scary and intimidating, but it made me realize how lucky I was before the pandemic started. It is odd to think that, before all of this started, we could live our lives without having to deal with fear: we could hug and kiss our friends without worrying about getting Covid-19; we could go to concerts and have the time of our lives with thousands of other people; we could simply live carefree. It was great, and we could never have imagined that it would be taken away from us so suddenly, with no warning.

Nowadays, we’ve become used to living with restrictions, we’ve adapted to this new reality, because humans are great at adapting to new realities (as it is shown by our evolution as a species). Nevertheless, each and every one of us hopes that this pandemic is over soon, so that we can go back to our normal lives and stop living with restrictions and anxiety. Hence, we all hope that we’ll be able to break these walls that are entrapping us, and finally be free from this horrible virus. I am really looking forward to meeting the other students involved in the Erasmus project, and I certainly hope that we’ll soon be able to travel and visit their beautiful countries!

Although this virus has greatly affected our lives, we must not give up, and (following all the safety measures that protect us and others) wait until this is finally over to do all the things that we can’t do at the moment. Hope is our biggest ally, and it is essential that we do not lose it!
